Fantasy Baseball Late May Trade Targets

Everyone likes to harp on the “sell high” portion of the old adage: “Buy low, sell high”. Any good investor knows that selling high is the easy part. Here are the players you can buy low on right now to maximize your fantasy baseball rosters for later this season.

Fantasy Baseball Trade Targets:

1. Jorge Polanco

2. Alex Verdugo

3. Charlie Blackmon

Polanco will add a baseline of consistency with a hint of upside to your lineup. Historically, Polanco’s batting average per season is somewhere in the high .200’s. Up to this point in the season, he is batting just .227, leaving a lot of room for progression.

Verdugo is an extra base hits machine. While his batting average doesn’t play well at .232 thus far, his expected on base percentage is well above average at .359, per fangraphs, which makes him a great fantasy option moving forward.

Blackmon also has room for some progression in his batting average, which sits at just .221. He is averaging 2.3 fantasy points per game, which ranks him 10th among players at his position. If you’re lucky, you might just be able to pick him up out of the free agent pool in your league.
